Vectis Direct has one aim, to be the largest and most comprehensive toy website in the world.
Having successfully run Vectis Auctions for a number of years, the idea for Vectis Direct was born as a result of comments and requests from collectors, many searching for a particular item or pieces on a specific subject or genre.

Striving to fulfil collector’s dreams, our expertise is drawn from an extensive group of experts in the field. This combined with our ongoing research means that Vectis Direct can knowledgeably and accurately describe items from a vast range of areas such as –

After extensive planning and sourcing of items, some rare and many never seen before on the open market, Vectis Direct was launched in 2007. The site will continually develop with new pieces and news being added daily to become a one stop shop for all your collecting needs.

Barbara Asker – Customer Relations and Administration

Having been with the company for over 32 years, Barbara is a font of all knowledge, able to deal with a multitude of customer requests and queries effectively, organise systems and satisfy your every need. In keeping with her neat and tidy mind Barbara has a fondness for miniatures in particular Schuco Teddy Bears.

Chris Hemingway – Cataloguer and Valuer

Coming from a background in Molecular Science means that Chris takes a logical and practical approach to his work. It also means he is rather fond of modern sci fi collectables. These qualities combined with an interest in diecast vehicles enables Chris to easily formulate accurate and succinct descriptions not to mention how to split the atom.

Nichola Hope – Administration

Having worked in the retail sector for a number of years, Nichola’s pleasant personality and excellent customer service skills means she is always happy to respond to customers by email, letter or on the telephone. So good, she has been known to perform all three at once. Nichola’s passion is for Disneyana in particular Winnie the Pooh, as her desk paraphernalia illustrates!

Joanne McDonald – Cataloguer and Valuer

Having worked as a consultant in the bears and dolls section of Vectis Auctions for seven years combined with running her own teddy bear retail business has meant that Joanne has the perfect grounding to work for Vectis Direct. Having joined on a full time basis Joanne can further develop her other interest in TV toys. She is an avid collector of Chiltern bears and sympathises with the difficulties of finding something different.

Kimberley Rushforth – Accounts and Administration

Kim trained and worked for a number of years in the busy accounts section of Vectis Auctions, an excellent basis to tackle the most complex of financial transactions. Her neat and organised manner and her ability to keep the accounts system in order seem completely at odds with her collection of Andy Capp items....!

Helen Stephenson – Packing Department

Helen takes the worry out of delivery. Being able to pack intricate pieces, ensuring all items are included and getting them to their final destination in purchase condition is no mean feat. Helen has processed and sent items from a couple of pounds to thousands of pounds, forwarded to everywhere from Tamworth to Tasmania.

Andrew Wilson – Photographer & Graphic Technician

Good websites need good quality photographs and we believe we have the best. Drawing on his qualifications in the field, Andrew is meticulous in capturing the intricacies of the toys as his photographs prove.
